Greg Katz is the
host and muse of the Artist Success Studio. After
countless encounters with artists he set out to
change “Successful Artist” from an oxymoron to a
declarative statement. His belief in the success of
artists and his perseverance has proven to be
motivating and serves as a model for artists to
march toward their own success.
The arts have always been a part
of Greg’s life. His first musical expression was at
the age of nine standing on milk crates to play the
bass fiddle. He continued to dabble in music until
after college when he went from focusing on auditory
delights and awakened the tactile giant.
Since 1992 Greg has worked in fiber as his method of
self-expression. Three years ago he made the shift
from “quilter” to “artist” and he’s tackled the
artist journey with flair and creativity.
His life is full of color both
literally and figuratively. He is continuously
encountering new shades, new tones and new values
that shape his professional palette. In a quilt,
each piece of fabric is an integral part of the
larger piece; in life, we each bring a unique,
beautiful texture to the pattern of community,
representing our strengths, desires and goals.
Greg has spent the past five years coaching artists
and helping them experience their business as
another work of art. He has enabled artists to
create a personal space where success is the only
outcome. He’s masterful at emphasizing the artist’s
strengths and transforming their challenges to
creative nuance. |
